What if We Are a Nuke City?


Playing around with nuclear weapons in videos is fun... 

 There is the apparent excitement in explosions, and the shocking excitement of such things as fireballs, shockwaves, and radiation. 

And while it helps to position our destructive forces properly, it is not the best way to understand the real impact of a nuclear explosion. This is not about the mindless TNT stacks, or how explosive the explosions are.

 Nuclear weapons are about you. So we have partnered with the Red Cross and Red Crescent to explore what would happen if a nuclear weapon were not fired into a major city today.

 Not a nuclear war, just one explosion. We start our story downtown in a big city. People who will work, study for exams, are lost in their thoughts and daily lives. Here the nuclear weapon is detonated and time is running out. 

The first stage of the explosion took place within seconds. In a millisecond, a plasma ball much hotter than the Sun appears and grows on the fireball reaching more than 2 miles across. 

Inside the ball, everyone is gone. Think of water dripping from a very hot pan. The sizzle, then empty. Most of the buildings, cars, trees, sculptures, and people ...... all exploded.

First, the lamp: a powerful tsunami of light washes over the city in an instant. In the event that your head points to the blast, it causes you to lose your eyesight for a few hours. 

The heat of this light produces hot, strong, and hot heat that simply burns everything 13 miles from the blast area. This means that everything in a 500-square-mile 500 sq km area that burns, begins to heat up. Plastic, wood, fabric, hair, and leather. If you happen to reach a hot drive, for one second, you are on your way to work, the next second, you are on fire.

Now the second category asks. It happens in a few seconds. Most people now begin to see that something is wrong, but it is already too late for hundreds of thousands. 

The flash is followed by a shockwave. The heat and radiation of the fireball create a bubble of intense and compressed air around it that is now exploding.
It is faster than the speed of sound, creating stronger winds than hurricanes and hurricanes. 

Human infrastructure cannot be measured by its capacity. Many large buildings within a kilometer of the fireball are simply on the ground floor below them. Only stainless steel can withstand partial pressure. 

In nearby parks where retirees feed on ducks, the trees are darkened and smoked for a second before bursting like toothpicks. When you are outside, you are thrown out like a grain of dust in a storm. 

The shockwave gets weaker as it travels outside but nonetheless, about 175 square miles of houses collapse as if it were made of cards, holding tens of thousands of people who had no time to respond. Power stations explode and fire spreads all over the rubbish.

A cloud of mushrooms made from the remains of a ball of fire, dust, and ash rises for miles into the sky in the next few minutes and carries a dark shadow over a ruined city. 

This violently pulls the fresh air around the city, destroys many buildings, and provides more oxygen. It depends on the city what happens next.

With enough fuel, fires can turn into wildfires, with everyone trapped in it, and people trying to escape. Up to 13 miles 21 km from the blast, people like you run to their windows to take pictures of the mushroom cloud, unaware that the shockwave was coming to them, it was going to smash their windows and build a sharp glass blizzard.


The third stage begins in the hours and days to come. You have become accustomed to the idea that help will come, no matter how tragic it may be. This time period is different: a nuclear explosion is the same as all-natural disasters at the same time.


Hundreds of thousands of millions of people have been seriously injured: cuts, broken bones, severe burns. In the next few minutes and hours, thousands more will die from these injuries. 

Countless people are trapped in collapsed buildings, such as earthquakes, or are blinded by the light, deaf from explosions, and unable to escape from dirt roads and debris.

They are scared, confused, and do not know what happened to them or why.
Likely, many hospitals have been evaluated along with all other facilities and many medical professionals are dead or injured, as well as all other people.

 Survivors are fortunate enough to be in the bowels of the municipality or stand in the right place so that they are not burned and unharmed will not survive the accident yet. Depending on the type of weapon, where it exploded, and the weather.

The worst rain can start, with the ashes emitting rays and dust down into the city, covering everything and everyone. The invisible, vicious fear, and the silent silence of the radiation change.

 All breathing brings poison to the lungs of survivors. In the coming days, people who receive high doses of radiation will die. There will be no help, not hours or maybe even days.

Civilization does not work where there is a complete breakdown of infrastructure. Roads are closed, railways are twisted, airways are littered with debris. No water, no electricity, no communications, no repositories.

 Assistance from surrounding cities will make it difficult to enter the disaster area and even if they cannot, radiation will make it more dangerous to get too close.

After a nuclear attack, you are alone. So, little by little, people come out of the rubble, contaminated with radiation, and carry little that they may have left. They are slow, in pain, traumatized, and all need immediate food, water, and treatment. 

And the damage done by the nuclear weapon does not stop when the fire burns and the smoke rises. Hospitals in neighboring cities are not functioning properly.
